The 2013 United States Conference on AIDS (USCA) in New Orleans opened Sunday, September 8, and runs through Wednesday, September 11, according to a statement by the National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), which organizes USCA. More than 2,000 advocates, providers and others are expected to attend the largest annual HIV conference in the country. “In It Till the End” is this year’s theme. NMAC has focused this USCA on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. the health care reform law, or ACA) and the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Louisiana and throughout the South.
