But when South Africa prez Thabo Mbeki got bit by the bug, AIDS Inc. turned serious about Tweedledum and Tweedledee with bad teeth and worse attitude out in San Francisco. And once the easy-to-dis dissidents were rechristened, there were more sightings of AIDS denialists than of Elvis -- though exactly what they were in denial about was rarely the same thing.
