You've Got Mail!

by Edited by RonniLyn Pustil

E-mail junkies short-circuited last fall when the following live-wire hit the Net, supplying ammo to the anti-druggie brigades. But we at POZ see the rumor as one more reason for Clinton to lift the funding ban for syringe swaps:

ALERT! DON’T USE PUBLIC PHONES!

“Drug users are taking their used needles and putting them into the coin-return slots in public telephones. People are putting their fingers in to recover coins or check if anyone left change. They are getting stuck by these needles and infected with hepatitis, HIV and other diseases. Be aware! The change isn’t worth it!
P.S. This info came from phone company workers, not from a hearsay urban-legend source.”
