Next Up: Founding A Better Choice, a drop-in agency for women wiht HIV. "We just looked at a house in Yonkers."

Goal: "In my church, women are finding out they're positive because of the new newborn testing laws. They come to me, bu they don't want it known. I want to give them A Better Choice."

On love: "I meet a lot of men who are so dear to me. But right now I need to grow within myself. Learn to make love to yourself first, I say."

Over AIDS?: "everybody wants me to open a restaurant--Ruby's. I can cook any Southern meal you name. But not right now. I have work to do."
