Know Your Writes

by Bob Lederer

As the fiction in this issue of POZ attests, there’s power in the written word—to enlighten or inspire, provoke or console. But even if you’ve never been—or never wanted to be—published, writing can work its magic for you. Keeping a journal (“Dear Diary,” p. 90) offers PWAs an outlet for venting, daydreaming, problem-solving or simply keeping track. And don’t let anyone convince you that you don’t have “talent.” All thinking people have ideas worth sharing on paper—even if only with themselves. And for PWAs, those ideas just might be downright healing. Seize the power of the pen!
