The month for brides? HA! For HIVers, June ’05 is for unsafe-sex arrests
06.10—A Georgia court denied
bail to a 26-year-old man busted in April for allegedly not telling
his partner he has HIV. The med student posted bail but allegedly
violated parole twice with similar sex acts. He now faces three counts
of felony reckless conduct.
06.14—A
Massachusetts woman was charged with armed robbery and assault for
allegedly stabbing a security guard with a syringe after he accused her
of shoplifting. Witnesses say the 21-year-old then taunted customers, asking, “Does anyone else want AIDS!?!”
06.21—Ohio
cops arrested a woman—who they claim is HIV positive—for prostitution.
The 34-year-old has 30 prior hooking arrests, and her current charges
were raised to felony status for her alleged failure to disclose.
Police would not tell POZ how they discovered her status.
