Tea Cells

My daily Reyataz needs a Norvir booster, which frazzles my nerves and my stomach. During the 14 years since my diagnosis, I’ve looked into all sorts of natural remedies for HIV-med side effects, and one of the classics—chamomile tea—deals with my Norvir issues. It calms my stomach and quiets the jitters, and
a nice cup right after dinner settles me into nighttime mode. I even tried a cup when I had insomnia. It didn’t knock me out—but I mellowed and stopped worrying that I was awake!    —Joe Norton, New York City
