At one point in time I was opposed to names reporting. Working in the field of HIV, I have always felt that confidentiality is important. But now I feel that names reporting helps us get people hooked up with appropriate services. I still feel that most general practitioners do not know what to do with someone who has just found out their positive HIV status. They know nothing about ADAP, case management, etc. So I feel names reporting is a good thing for our clients.
