A soap opera featuring an eight-year-old girl who was infected with HIV through a blood transfusion is getting top ratings on South Korean TV. The show aims to fight HIV stigma in a country where, in a 2005 survey, 52% of parents said they would not send their kids to a school where anyone was HIV positive.
"I'm HIV positive and diabetic (as well as have high cholesterol) and some of my meds specify taking them with 'high fat foods' which I have to do twice a day. I've eaten as healthy as possible, but when it comes to high fat foods, I am in a quandary...about what to eat sometimes..."
