Marital infidelity is the single most risky HIV factor for women worldwide, according to a new study from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. Prevention programs that try to stamp out the behavior itself are not likely to be as successful as reducing the risk that HIV will be transmitted during extramarital affairs, the authors say.
