Popular reggae and dancehall artists Beenie Man, Sizzla and Capleton have all signed on to the Reggae Compassionate Act, agreeing to remove violent and homophobic lyrics from their songs. They are among a range of performers accused of inciting hatred and stigma surrounding sexuality in the Caribbean community that has also been tied to rising HIV rates.
"I'm HIV positive and diabetic (as well as have high cholesterol) and some of my meds specify taking them with 'high fat foods' which I have to do twice a day. I've eaten as healthy as possible, but when it comes to high fat foods, I am in a quandary...about what to eat sometimes..."
