Get Tested! (Pass It On)

Did you know that one out of every four HIV positive Americans doesn’t know he or she has the virus?

Wednesday, June 27 is National HIV Testing Day, hosted by the National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) to encourage early HIV diagnosis and routine testing.

Getting an oral test for HIV, which involves a simple swab of your cheek, is quick (20 minutes) and painless. It could save your life to get tested, because HIV treatment can work better when you’re diagnosed early.

So, take an HIV test—and take control of your health!

"I'm HIV positive and diabetic (as well as have high cholesterol) and some of my meds specify taking them with 'high fat foods' which I have to do twice a day. I've eaten as healthy as possible, but when it comes to high fat foods, I am in a quandary...about what to eat sometimes..."
