Emergency Summit on ADAP Funding in Florida
The Florida Department of Health’s Bureau of HIV/AIDS is negotiating an emergency agreement to supply medications to 6,000 participants of the state’s AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), The Florida Independent reports. Tom Liberti, director of the bureau, made that announcement at an ADAP emergency summit in Fort Lauderdale. The bureau is negotiating an agreement with Welvista, a national mail-order pharmacy that hopes to supply HIV meds donated from pharmaceutical companies to patients who won’t get their medication in February and March. A funding crisis has left nearly 3,000 people on the state’s ADAP waiting list, but new Ryan White federal money will be available April 1.

It is so kind for the our American RX Companies to donate drugs to keep people alive and collect Billions from the people's money. Donate is bullshit, for the medical policy is if you don't take meds on time every day then mutation will happen, again bullshit. My mother is a Senior who doesn't have HIV however needs a presription for a med for 100 dollars on Medicare. You see she makes about 1000 dollars on SS and is 72 years old and after rent, food no money left over. Fair,Free Market for ALL.
