The adult film actor who tested positive for HIV in October did not transmit the virus to any other sex partners, professional or personal, the Los Angeles Times reports. The actor, known as Patient Zeta, tested positive at the Adult Industry Medical Health Foundation (AIM), a clinic that routinely tests porn actors and maintains a database of their results. The actor’s results prompted state workplace safety officials to consider mandating condom use and enacting additional testing laws for porn actors. Several porn companies suspended production after Patient Zeta tested positive, but at least two have resumed filming. Patient Zeta “acquired the virus through private, personal activity,” according to an AIM statement.
