Former pro wrestler Andre Davis was found guilty of 14 counts of felony sexual assault after allegedly having unprotected sex with women without telling them he was HIV positive, The Associated Press (AP) reports. A Cincinnati jury convicted Davis—who wrestled using the stage names Gangsta of Love and Sweet Sexy Sensation—after a dozen women testified that Davis either never told them or lied about his status and then engaged in unprotected sex. Medical privacy laws prohibited attorneys from disclosing whether any of the women subsequently contracted the virus. World Wrestling Entertainment stopped hiring Davis in 2009 after he failed a physical by testing HIV positive. Davis’s attorneys are planning an appeal.
