The National Association of People Living With HIV (NAPWA) inAustralia is launching an awareness campaign for new HIV drug treatment plans, theMelbourne Weekly reports. Currently, 10 percent of HIV cases in Australiaremain undiagnosed and 30 percent of people with the virus choose to gountreated because they don’t realize the new medications don’t cause debilitatingside effects, activists said. The NAPWA campaign seeks to dispel myths, startconversations and encourage treatment.
