Activists in Biloxi, Mississippi, held a protest demanding
an increase to HIV/AIDS services from the South Mississippi AIDS Task Force
(SMATF), WLOX reports. The small group of protesters alleged that SMATF had not
written a successful grant in the past year. Protesters also asked for access
to a peer counselor. The SMATF board president said she has talked with clients
about their concerns and that the executive director has received at least six
grants during the past year.
