China Fights HIV and Tuberculosis Coinfection

China’s Health Ministry announced a plan to combat HIV and tuberculosis (TB) coinfection, the People’s Daily Online reports. The ministry is requiring free treatment, follow-up visits and annual testing for coinfection. Throughout China, TB has become one of the leading causes of death among people living with HIV.
