China’s First HIV Discrimination Case Heard in Court
A Chinese court heard the country’s first HIV discrimination case, AFP reports. The man, known by his alias Xiao Wu, is suing the department of education in Anqing after city officials denied him a teaching job following a medical screening that revealed he was HIV positive. He is asking the education department to give him the job. The verdict will be announced after a 10-day period.
