Family Planning Victoria, a sexual and reproductive health organization in Australia, has asked the federal government to fund contraceptive services and recommends free condoms in high schools, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reports. Condom vending machines would be integrated into a broad sex education program to prevent sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancies. The prime minister and the Victoria president of the Australian Education Union have both rejected the idea.
