The Whitman-Walker Clinic in Washington, DC, is offering the “red carpet” treatment to people who may be infected with HIV such as rape victims, The Washington Post reports. The rapid enrollment program founded in 2008 provides immediate access to medical care, treatment and information about insurance options and mental health therapy. It would typically take up to several weeks to receive these services. Other medical institutions in DC have adopted similar programs.
