Housing Works held its seventh annual Design on a Dime opening reception May 5 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. The event kicked off a three-day interior design extravaganza, including a silent auction and a public sale of furnishings, with proceeds benefiting Housing Works’ 874 Jefferson Avenue Residence Project in Brooklyn.

The VIP open house, held before the sold-out reception, featured 56 mock rooms created by designers from around the world.

The night was cochaired by James Huniford, founding chair; Nate Berkus, interior designer and host of his eponymous talk show; model and fashion icon Iman, founder and CEO of IMAN Home Fabrics; Charlotte Moss of Charlotte Moss & Co.; and Lara Spencer, the lifestyle anchor on Good Morning America.

Housing Works is a New York City–based organization dedicated to fighting the dual epidemics of HIV and homelessness.
