Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, no longer makes free condoms available to its students via a basket in the lobby of the health services department, The Associated Press (AP) reports. “They were disappearing, and someone even stole the basket,” said Drew spokesman David Muha. Because of the thefts and budget cuts, the school eliminated the basket service, which cost several hundred dollars. Students can attain free condoms from resident assistants, but that eliminates the element of anonymity.
