EJAF Gives $850,000 in First Round of 2012 Grants

The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) has awarded $850,000 in its first round of 2012 grants to AIDS United, The NAMES Project and the SERO Project, according to an EJAF statement. AIDS United received $700,000 to increase access to care and to support HIV programming in 10 U.S. locations; the NAMES Project received $100,000 to help display the AIDS Memorial Quilt at more than 50 venues in Washington, DC, during the XIX International AIDS Conference this summer; and the SERO Project received $50,000 to continue its work documenting the ways HIV criminalization laws negatively affect people.
