As a result of 12 new probes, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has uncovered an additional $20 million of financial mismanagement, The Washington Post reports. Two new cases in Nigeria and India could lead to criminal charges. Fraud and misspending have plagued the organization; as a result, the fund has investigated its own losses in grant money. Previous probes discovered about $53 million in losses. The fund says it has recovered $19 million in misspent or undocumented money so far.
