The Global Forum on MSM & HIV (MSMGF)—a coalition of AIDS organizations, MSM networks and advocates—has announced a five-year strategic plan for dealing with HIV/AIDS among men who have sex with men (MSM), according to an MSMGF statement. The plan’s five areas of focus are health, human rights, research, investment and partnership with local advocates. Although MSM infection rates exceed 20 percent in countries such as Mexico, Senegal and Thailand, only 2 percent of international HIV funding goes toward MSM.
