The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has approved 79 grants totaling $1.7 billion over two years, according to a Global Fund statement. This round of funding includes $732 million for HIV/AIDS, $574 million for malaria, $299 million for TB and $128 million for strengthening health systems. These new grants mark the 10th round of funding since the Global Fund was created in 2002. Including the latest rounds, the Global Fund has funneled $21.7 billion to 150 countries.
