Guyana Reduces HIV/AIDS Prevalence
From 2009 to 2010, the small South American country of Guyana has reduced its HIV/AIDS prevalence to 1 percent, the National Communications Network (NCN) reports. This puts Guyana on par with the UNAIDS recommended target rate. In addition, a 2009 report on HIV/AIDS found that more than 105,000 HIV tests were given in the country.
