The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), UNITAID and the U.K. Department for International Development (DFID) will further reduce HIV drug pricing in the developing world, according to a UNITAID statement. CHAI’s Procurement Consortium reaches over 70 countries and supplies 70 percent of people living with HIV in these regions with negotiated pricing for preferred first-line treatment options, such as meds containing tenofovir and efavirenz.
