I think it's good to provide reassurance. However this is a serious illness like any flu. One of my friends is dead. He caught swine flu and was dead 10 days later. Another friend has been in the hospital from a post-flu secondary infection. He's been there 7 weeks now. He nearly died. It is critical to get prompt treatment and to avoid dehydration.
