A bill in the Maryland Senate would increase the penalty for
knowingly transmitting HIV from a misdemeanor to a felony, Delmarva Now reports.
Senate Bill 60 was proposed by State Senator Norman Stone Jr., a Democrat from
Baltimore County. The bill does not have any co-sponsors and has not been
cross-filed with the House. A hearing date has yet to be scheduled.
