The fourth annual Hip Hop 4 HIV concert treated more than 15,000 young adults to a free concert in Houston, but there was one catch––they had to be tested and educated about HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), khou.com reports. Attendees went to community clinics for a four-hour process of testing and education, as well as referrals to medical professionals if they tested positive for HIV or other STIs. The concert aims to lower rising HIV/AIDS rates among African Americans and Latinos.
