About 3,000 people with HIV and cancer protested in the streets of New Delhi against a planned free trade agreement between India and the European Union (EU), The Associated Press (AP) reports. Protesters claim generic versions of drugs, including HIV medications, would no longer be available cheaply under the agreement, which is still being negotiated. Protesters also claim the restrictions would deeply affect developing countries, specifically throughout Asia and Africa.
