Advocates Seek to Replenish Stocks of HIV Meds in India
The Delhi Network of Positive People (DNP+) and other HIV/AIDS groups are calling on the Indian Health Ministry and National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) to replenish stocks of HIV/AIDS medications in treatment centers in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the Citizen News Service (CNS) reports. Recent shortfalls in essential meds have led health care advocates to call for an emergency supply of ARVs to be sent to affected treatment centers and for immediate reform of the pharmaceutical supply management system, which has been accused of poor planning and inaccurate projections of local requirements.
