New Jersey Cuts 950 People From ADAP
New Jersey has changed income guidelines for its AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), resulting in 950 HIV-positive people being cut from ADAP as of August 1, NorthJersey.com reports. The state budget enacted in June lowered income eligibility for ADAP from $54,150 per year to $32,490. It remains unclear whether the state will receive any of the $25 million in emergency ADAP funding recently announced by the Department of Health and Human Services.
