Musician and AIDS activist Alicia Keys lobbied President Obama about AIDS in Africa at a New York City fund-raiser for his re-election, The New York Times reports. Keys is a cofounder of Keep a Child Alive, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to providing HIV medications and health care to families and orphaned children in Africa and India. She also produced the documentary film Alicia in Africa: Journey to the Motherland, which shows the impact of AIDS on African society and families.
