Los Angeles Condoms in Porn Mandate Takes Effect
The Los Angeles ordinance that mandates condom usage on adult film shoots went into effect March 4, even though questions about the law’s enforcement have not been resolved, The Los Angeles Daily News reports. The Los Angeles City Council approved the requirement in January in hopes to protect adult film actors from HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. The city has not yet developed a plan for enforcing the ordinance. Most likely, adult film production companies will be required to pay a fee in order to film in the city; that money would then be used to fund an enforcement program.
