Nancy Mahon Appointed as New Chair of PACHA

Nancy Mahon, the executive director of the MAC AIDS Fund, was appointed to chair the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA), according to a Health and Human Services (HHS) statement. PACHA is charged with proposing policies that would strengthen the U.S. government’s fight against HIV/AIDS. As leader of the council, Mahon will report to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius with proposals on how to improve U.S. HIV prevention, research and treatment.
