New Initiatives From ADAP Crisis Task Force and Merck

The ADAP Crisis Task Force and pharmaceutical company Merck have agreed to a series of new initiatives that provide funding relief to state AIDS Drug Assistance Programs, according to a Merck statement. Merck will extend price freezes on Isentress and Crixivan to eligible ADAPs through December 31, 2013; increase discounts on Isentress and Crixivan to eligible ADAPs; expedite state rebate claims; and provide technical assistance to ADAPs. Currently, a combined total of about 2,100 people are on ADAP waiting lists in 11 states.
