HIV Privacy Concerns at North Carolina Health Department
Two people living with HIV claim that the Columbus County health department in North Carolina has privacy issues that deter people from getting treatment, WECT.com reports. Some concerns include a designated “HIV day” at the clinic and having names called out when it’s time to see a doctor. To address some of these concerns, the department claims it is getting a screen that displays numbers to notify people when it’s their turn.
