Charges filed in 2010 against Olympic equestrian Darren Chiacchia of failing to disclose his HIV-positive status have been dropped, WCTV reports. A former partner alleged that Chiacchia had claimed to be HIV negative at the outset of their relationship, but than an email purportedly from Chiacchia proved the equestrian had been aware of his HIV status since the previous year. The judge dismissed the case after a brief hearing.
