HIV Documentary 'We Were Here' Airs Nationwide on PBS
The HIV film We Were Here will air nationwide on the PBS documentary program Independent Lens throughout June, according to an Independent Television Service (ITVS) statement. The film, produced and directed by documentarian David Weissman, earned praise at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. We Were Here follows five individuals who lived in San Francisco before the onset of AIDS and shows how their lives and the LGBT community changed because of the epidemic.
