PEPFAR Praised by House Committee on Foreign Affairs

The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) was praised during a House Committee on Foreign Affairs meeting highlighting the program’s success in fighting HIV/AIDS in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean, the Voice of America (VOA) reports. Despite its success, lawmakers and health experts stressed the importance of increasing treatment and prevention.
