The San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF) and the STOP AIDS Project are merging, according to a SFAF statement. All clients from both organizations will soon benefit from the social support and peer education programs offered by the STOP AIDS Project and access to case management, housing benefits, HIV testing and substance abuse counseling offered by SFAF. The unification aims to better serve San Franciscans by expanding testing, dramatically reducing new HIV infections through prevention outreach and making sure everyone with the virus receives treatment and services. The merger will be effective November 1.
