Some sexual education courses are expanding in China as premarital
sex has increased 30 percent in the past two decades, Xinuanet.com reports.
According to a survey by the flagship magazine of the Communist Party of China,
41.4 percent of survey respondents in 1994 said they had engaged in premarital
sex. That number has risen to 71.4 percent, according to a survey earlier this
month. In 2011, China introduced new sex-ed books for children and encouraged
schools to widen their curriculum.
