South African producer Tau Morena has produced the country’s first all-black pornographic movie, The New York Times reports. All the male cast members used condoms and received HIV testing before shooting the film. Titled Mapona (which means “naked” in the Sotho language), the movie, Morena said, offers a “gentle message about safe sex” because many young South Africans have a “negative attitude towards condoms.” The sequel to the film will be distributed with safer-sex materials. In South Africa, nearly 6 million people are living with HIV, and about 1,000 die from AIDS-related complications daily.
