UNAIDS executive director Michael Sidibé urged for a greater national response to decrease Swaziland’s high HIV prevalence, Afrol News reports. The southeast African nation has the world’s highest HIV prevalence, with one in every four people living with HIV.

Sidibé visited Swaziland to survey the country’s HIV/AIDS programs. He plans to explore joint U.N. actions with Swaziland to reduce new HIV cases, and he met with the country’s prime minister, Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini, to encourage him to continue AIDS funding.

According to the article, the Southern African Development recently set a target to halve new HIV cases in the region by this year—from 1.15 million cases to about 575,000.
