Swiss police have arrested an unlicensed acupuncturist who refused to attend a trial where he is accused of deliberately transmitting HIV to 16 people by pricking them, The Associated Press reports. His house was stormed after a daylong standoff where he allegedly threatened officers with a samurai sword and a gun. The unidentified man, who is HIV negative, faces charges of intentionally spreading human disease and causing serious bodily harm. The cases go back more than a decade. Prosecutors are asking judges to sentence him to 15 years in prison.
