La Villa Agency, a Newark, New Jersey–based multi-service federally funded HIV/AIDS agency, can’t provide services because the city of Newark has yet to disburse its funding, My9News reports. As a result, the agency hasn’t met payroll since March and faces eviction. Instead of sending a check, the city e-mailed two excuses: the printer ran out of ink, and the printer was broken. Clients are fearful the agency will be forced to close.
