Website AIDS.gov Gets a Makeover

Federal website AIDS.gov has been updated to include blogs, podcasts and other media innovations, The Earth Times reports (earthtimes.org, 5/7).

“As we approach the 27th year of this epidemic, new media tools are an effective and interactive way to deliver information to and engage with AIDS service providers, health departments, federal partners, community partners and the general public,” says AIDS.gov director Miguel Gomez.

The site now features a monthly series of podcasts featuring brief interviews with AIDS officials on key topics relevant to people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. The redesign also aims to make the site, which contains information on AIDS policies, treatment, prevention and resources, more user-friendly.
